Online collaborative mapping for Cost Action 19129 "Decolonising Development"

Published September 30, 2021

By outlining the contours of the Action and by engaging with and visualising the complexity of its constituent elements (people, networks, studies, contexts, events, researches, pedagogies, practices), we believe we contribute to the Action, diving into themes correlated with decolonial, post-developmental research,  pedagogy and practice while strengthening our early research career.

During our Short Term Scientific Mission supported by CA19129 at Research Centre Škograd in Belgrade, we initiated the co-production of an online collaborative map of the Action and co-created it during the podcast sessions with other Action participants by using the Miro platform. The map includes various elements of the decolonisation experience and perception of the participants, and we understand it as a living map that we will continue elaborating on until the end of the Action.

To initiate the discussion, we, as members of different Cost Action working groups, kicked off the mapping by putting our individual and joint insights about decolonisation. Then, during each podcast that we organised, we cumulatively developed the map by adding layers to it, including elements of the experiences shared.
